Travel with the dishes of a brunch

Carmen Julia Herrera is a social communicator. "I started at Radio Caracas, I went through Cinesa and since 2008 I have always been on the side of the agency," shares who continues to work from Monday to Friday in an agency. On weekends, together with her boyfriend Alejandro Gafra, she offers tempting brunches in El Hatillo with a business called Orquídeas Café Tea and Tapas.

Good choice for the weekend

They offer options like Eggs Benedict, Mexican Breakfast, Pancake Trio, Croissant Basket, Avocado Toast, BLT Sandwich. Portobello Eggs, Salmon Bagel, Omelet.

“The place where we are has existed since 2019 with a proposal of burgers, ceviches, tapas, salads and opens from Wednesday to Sunday from 3 pm. We saw the opportunity to offer brunch, we made the proposal and they liked it.”, Herrera details the genesis of this proposal that began on Saturday, September 25th, 2021 behind closed doors and on October 2nd to the public.

“My boyfriend, who is the one with the idea, has experience in restaurants in Venezuela. From 2013 to 2020 he was in Italy, Spain and England and had the opportunity to work and manage in different restaurants. The latter being a restaurant in London, where on weekends it offered brunch in one of the best-known streets (Portobello Road)” explains Herrera.
