Five Venezuelan startups that were born in a pandemic

Despite adversity, Venezuelans continue to emerge willing to put fear aside to start new projects in the country and take advantage of the opportunity to achieve their goals. Here are five examples:

  • Brewtal

Francisco López, 30 years old, began to make and ferment his own beer together with his uncle, fusing this knowledge with art. This is how Brewtal resulted, a quality beer in terms of taste and presentation.

  • Jeune montre

This facial skin care product venture was created by a family of Venezuelan chemists. Daniela Castillo, 23 years old, had this initiative for people interested in maintaining a healthy complexion. Jeune Montre products are 100% vegan.

  • Takytahi

Takytahi is a sushi sales service created by Andrés D’Alessio, Luis Ortega and Santiago Acosta, three 21-year-olds. These entrepreneurs have known how to adapt to the situation generated by the pandemic, offering delivery and pick up.

  • Vadiva Fashion Store

Valeria Sandoval, 21, had the idea of selling accessories when she realized that she had the skill to make them and could offer them at an affordable price.

  • NaturalGO packaging

This project seeks to reduce plastic pollution in Venezuela. They sell 100% recyclable and biodegradable kraft paper bags. They offer affordable prices and have created alliances with other entrepreneurs. NaturalGO also offers food sales.
